Context: Palehound’s ongoing support for immigrant rights
Palehound has previously used shows to raise funds for the Immigrant Defense Project. Last spring, Kempner led a benefit at Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn with support from Grumpy and The Ophelias.
Speaking about why the band supports this work, Kempner expressed alarm at anti-immigrant rhetoric and urged action. Bringing people together through music, Kempner said, is one way to strengthen organizations defending vulnerable communities.
